My name is Kurt Gergler and I am excited to join the Bow Elementary School community as principal, which has started my 25th year supporting education. I have a decade of administrative experience, mostly as an elementary school principal. Other experiences include school psychology, math instruction, driver education instruction and college instruction. I am a strong advocate for children and am inspired by the rapid learning young children demonstrate.
As principal, I most enjoy supporting the school staff as they lead the student’s learning.

I grew up in Bow, attended the then K-9 Bow Memorial School and graduated from Concord High School. Undergraduate  and graduate work occurred at the University of Connecticut and James Madison University in Virginia, respectively. I started my career in Iowa before returning to NH in 1994. I currently live in Sunapee with my wife on our small farm. I enjoy carpentry, working outside and running. My running hobby started 35+ years ago on the circular track that currently sets outside the BES office window.
